Car Rental Security Deposit

The security deposit is a temporary guarantee required at the time of vehicle pick-up. It is not an additional cost: it is fully refunded at the end of the rental, after the returned vehicle has been inspected.

How Much Is the Security Deposit?

The standard security deposit for car rental is €500. However, by choosing one of our insurance packages you can significantly reduce this amount.

With the CarBasic package the deposit drops to €250. By choosing SafeGuard or FullCover the deposit is reduced to just €100. A dedicated deposit reduction package is also available, bringing the deposit to €100 as well, purchasable separately regardless of the insurance coverage chosen.

How Is the Security Deposit Paid?

At B Noleggio we offer maximum flexibility in payments. You can pay for the rental in cash, by debit card or by Postepay. The security deposit can be paid using the same methods.

There is one important rule: at least one of the rental payment and the security deposit must be made by card. If you pay for the rental in cash, the deposit must be paid by debit card or Postepay. If you pay for the rental by card, you can pay the deposit in cash.

A credit card is never required.

Which Cards Are Accepted?

We accept cards from the Visa, MasterCard, American Express and UnionPay circuits, in the name of the booking holder. We also accept Postepay and debit cards.

Cards marked "Electron Use Only", Maestro circuit cards and cards not in the name of the booking holder are not accepted.

When Is the Deposit Refunded?

The security deposit is released immediately at the end of the contract, after the vehicle has been returned and inspected. The actual credit time to your account depends on your bank and may vary from 7 to 30 days.
